Thinking and Learning about Health
Essays on health and medicine from a registered nurse in Direct Primary Care — evidence-informed, patient-centered, and skeptical of hype, not science.
Why this site
Many people distrust parts of modern medicine — and often for good reason. Marketing outruns evidence. Patients feel rushed. Questions go unanswered.
At the same time, most of us still want to take care of our health. We want honest answers, not fear or sales pitches.
Healthier Thinking is written for that audience: curious, cautious, and willing to look at health with clear eyes.
Not medical advice. These essays share perspective and information. They do not replace care from your own clinician. See the medical disclaimer.

A brief introduction to this site — essays on health and medicine from a registered nurse who works in Direct Primary Care.
Evidence is not a buzzword. It is a way of asking whether a treatment, test, or claim holds up when we look closely.
I welcome thoughtful correspondence. I cannot provide personal medical advice by email.
