About Healthier Thinking
Healthier Thinking is a personal writing project by Miriam Eldridge, RN, a registered nurse working in Direct Primary Care.
The site exists for people who are wary of parts of mainstream medicine — overdiagnosis, corporate influence, one-size-fits-all advice — but who still want to understand their bodies and make informed choices.
I aim to write clearly, cite sources when it matters, and distinguish between what we know, what we suspect, and what is still unknown. I am skeptical of hype, not of careful science or the value of good clinical care.
These essays reflect my own perspective and experience. They are not a substitute for a relationship with your own healthcare provider.
